ComStar’s origin dates back to 2007 in Canada, starting as a graduation project by its founder Feras Al-Khalaileh. Despite challenges in gaining industry experience, he creatively transformed his freelance projects into a unified graduation project. This innovative approach led to the establishment of ComStar, which evolved into a full-fledged company by 2012. By 2016, it expanded into COMSTAR SECURITY BV. The company, underpinned by a culture of inclusion and family values, specialises in custom information security solutions across various sectors like education, government, law enforcement, military, and transportation. ComStar distinguishes itself in the fast-paced technology industry through a commitment to ethical responsibility, customer satisfaction, and innovative solutions. They pride themselves on operating entirely on green energy and continuously adapting their products to be more energy-efficient. Notable achievements include contributing to surveillance and traffic management for Ras Al Khaimah’s New Year events and collaborating with local police for community security. ComStar’s relationship with RAKEZ, spanning over 10 years, has been pivotal in their growth. The introduction of RAKEZ’s e-facilities, particularly the Portal 360 (self-service digital platform), significantly boosted their operational capabilities. Additionally, the personalised support from the RAKEZ team has been crucial in facilitating effective communication and streamlining processes, demonstrating the value of strategic partnerships in business development.

The future of ComStar involves expanding into new markets and developing new products. As the sole partner of DJI Enterprise Drones in the North Emirate since August 2023, they are working on an Autonomous Drone Program with the RAK Government. Their UAE office focuses on research and development, prioritising projects based on critical needs and running entirely on green energy.
