The RAKEZ Medical Fitness Centre allows payments to be made using cash, card, or Apple Pay.

Medical test results are available within 24 hours following the test.

No, it is not necessary. Taking food before or after the visa medical screening does not impact the results.

The medical fitness certificate is valid for a period of 3 months, starting from the date of the medical test report. It is important for applicants to schedule a test at a medical centre within a month of the RAKEZ typing date.

Yes, it is possible to expedite your medical appointment from a normal to an urgent one. There is an additional fee of AED 500 for this service, which will allow you to secure an earlier appointment date.

Applicants can apply through the online portal only. However, for those choosing a package that does not include medical, they can secure the medical report from any medical centre, apart from the medical centres approved by immigration.

The medical examination, as part of the residence visa application process, requires all expatriate residents to undergo a set of health and medical checks, including:

If you opt to have your medical examination conducted outside RAKEZ, you will need to supply a photograph, a copy of your passport, and a copy of your utilised visa.

RAKEZ accepts the medical report issued from any authorised government hospital/ preventive medical centre across any emirate. The submitted report should be valid and carry the required stamp.

You can upgrade medical applications from normal to urgent through Portal 360.

You can set up a medical appointment via the RAKEZ website or Portal 360. Another option is to make a booking by calling the contact centre. Advanced bookings are highly recommended to avoid delays and will receive priority over walk-ins.

We will do our best to accommodate you, but to avoid waiting, you are advised to be on time.

For a normal request, it takes 3 working days. However, if it's an urgent request, it can be completed within 1 working day.

In the event that the medical report deems the applicant unfit, the visa has to be cancelled and the applicant is required to leave the country. The RAKEZ contact centre team will reach out to the applicant and provide guidance on the necessary procedures.

Vaccination against Hepatitis "B" Virus is required for certain job positions as per the instruction of the Ministry of Health. There is an additional processing fee of AED 50 for medical applications, applicable to both new visas and renewals.

No, children below the age of 18 do not need health screening in order to get a residency visa.

From registration to completion, the health screening process takes approximately 15 minutes.

Applicants are tested for communicable diseases such as hepatitis, HIV, leprosy, syphilis and tuberculosis.

Yes, it is important to inform the doctor if you are pregnant. The chest X-ray, which is a part of the medical examination, can pose risks to the unborn child. If you suspect that you might be pregnant, you will be administered a pregnancy test before proceeding with other tests. The result of your pregnancy test will be reflected in your test results. Please note that there is an additional charge of AED 50 for the pregnancy test.

The results are directly shared with RAKEZ for visa processing. If you wish to receive a copy of the results, we can send it to you via email.
