RAKEZ Academic Zone partners with Scottish Qualifications Authority
RAKEZ Academic Zone has recently announced its team up with the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) to continue strengthening the standard of education within the zone and position Ras Al Khaimah as a beacon for high-quality education. SQA is supported by the Scottish Government’s Learning Directorate and has two main roles – accreditation and awarding qualifications.
The collaboration between the two entities has been made official through the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation in the presence of Taner Topcu, Director of RAKEZ Academic Zone and Brian Stokes, SQA’s International Regional Manager - Middle East & Europe. The agreement is set to strengthen the collaboration and exchange of information and expertise between authorities.
Prior to its partnership with SQA, RAKEZ Academic Zone has also signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with other international quality assurance agencies to ensure the quality of programmes offered to its student community. These include the United Kingdom’s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) and Australia’s Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).
