RAKEZ named as the Best Local Strategic Partner of RAK Department of Economic Development for 2018

Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) was recently awarded by RAK Department of Economic Development (RAK DED) as its Best Local Strategic Partner for 2018 during its annual Strategic Partner Event.

Yaser Al Ahmed, Group Chief Government and Corporate Relations Officer of the economic zone, received the award from RAK DED General Director Dr Abdulrahman Al Shayeb Al Naqbi who was joined by RAK DED Deputy General Director Mohammed Mahmoud Al Mahmoud.

The event gathered various Ras Al Khaimah government entities that have been working together with RAK DED. Dr Al Naqbi pointed out that the event is intended to reflect RAK DED’s appreciation on the sincere efforts of these entities in helping drive the development of the emirate.

Over the years, RAKEZ and RAK DED have been joining forces towards making Ras Al Khaimah an ideal environment to set up and expand businesses from all over the globe. The two entities have collaborated on various projects, with RAKEZ Business Excellence Awards being the most recent one.

Just in August, RAKEZ announced its team up with RAK DED for the second consecutive year in bringing its Annual Business Excellence Awards, which aims to celebrate the excellence and achievements of free zone and non-free zone businesses throughout Ras Al Khaimah. RAK DED first supported the awards programme in 2017, which saw a great feedback from Ras Al Khaimah’s business community.
