RAKEZ receives Bangladesh Minister of Expatriates Welfare and Employments Overseas
Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) recently welcomed HE Imran Ahmad, Bangladesh Minister of Expatriates Welfare and Employments Overseas, at its headquarters in Ras Al Khaimah. He was accompanied by HE Iqbal Khan, Consul General, Bangladesh Consulate of Dubai, Ms Nasreen Jahan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Expatriates, Ms Fatema Janah, Counsellor, Bangladesh Consulate of Dubai, and Mr Mohammad Amin, First Secretary of Education, Culture and Tourism, Bangladesh Consulate of Dubai.
His Excellency was visiting the UAE from 8 to 13 February 2020, to participate in the 10th session of the World Urban Forum in Abu Dhabi. During this trip, His Excellency visited the emirate and met with RAKEZ Chairman HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, to discuss building a new Bangladesh English private school at RAKEZ facilities.
RAKEZ is currently home to over 203 Bangladeshi companies. The economic zone has been witnessing an increase in interest from investors from Bangladesh to set up shop in Ras Al Khaimah.
