RAKEZ Academic Zone highlights Ras Al Khaimah’s education landscape at EDEX MENA 2019

Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) Academic Zone has participated at EDEX MENA 2019, the UAE’s leading Higher Education event, to connect with decision makers involved in regulating, financing, leading, equipping and improving the delivery of education in the Middle East and North Africa region. The event took place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, DIFC, Dubai, from 18 to 19 November.

During the two-day event, the Academic Zone team, led by Taner Topcu, Director of RAKEZ Academic Zone, engaged with over 150 participating local and international universities and institutions and provided insights on the flourishing education landscape in Ras Al Khaimah as well as the benefits offered by RAKEZ Academic Zone. His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAKEZ, also visited the Academic Zone stand to show support to the team and to interact with the event participants.

Over the years, RAKEZ Academic Zone has built a supportive ecosystem for educational providers and students. It offers various services and facilities, such as shared workstations, offices, pre-built buildings and land for development.

Presently, the zone is home to several leading K-12 schools as well as international universities from around the globe, such as the University of Stirling, University of Bolton, University of West London, and Bath Spa University, Swiss Business School and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
