EMIRATES ID REPLACES RESIDENCY VISAS IN PASSPORTS

 

Following the announcement by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security, the Emirates ID will now serve as the primary proof of UAE residency, effective 11 April 2022. This pivotal update signifies that passports will no longer be adorned with pink stickers to denote UAE residency visas, thus, individuals will not be required to submit their passport information to RAKEZ for residence visa-related services such as stamping, renewal, or amendment.

 

VIEW VISA DETAILS

To view your visa details, kindly follow the below-mentioned steps:

  1. Visit ICA website by clicking here
  2. Select the 'Passport Information' radio button
  3. Select either 'residency' or 'visa'
  4. Enter passport number and passport expiry date
  5. Enter nationality from the dropdown on the right
  6. A corresponding number will appear on the box on the left
  7. Select the captcha check box and click on search
  8. The page will display your visa details along with date of expiry

To get a copy of your visa and Emirates ID, download the ICA app on the App Store or on Google Play
