SPATIAL COMPOSITE
Operating in cabin crew training equipment sector
Significantly expanded operations and global reach
Established in 2007, Spatial Composite is a trailblazer in the field of cabin crew training equipment. The company was born out of a unique opportunity when Emirates Airlines requested the creation of training equipment for their new facility. Initially focusing on the Middle East, Spatial rapidly expanded to Asia and the USA. In 2009, the company relocated to RAKEZ’s Al Hamra Industrial Zone.
After a successful management buyout in 2016, Spatial’s global presence expanded significantly. Now, the company is revered for high-quality cabin crew training equipment and caters to leading airlines such as United Airlines, Delta, Virgin, Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, Qantas, among others. A key challenge was ensuring the durability of their equipment to withstand a busy training environment. RAKEZ’s support was instrumental in overcoming this hurdle and fostering continuous product improvement.
“Our reputation is built on our commitment to quality and exceptional customer service… Our approach to innovation, coupled with RAKEZ’s assistance, resulted in the introduction of advanced products that continuously improve with user feedback.”
“Our reputation is built on our commitment to quality and exceptional customer service. We design cabin crew training simulators for high-volume use, offering the longest warranties in the market, and unparalleled 24/7 customer support. Our approach to innovation, coupled with RAKEZ’s assistance, resulted in the introduction of advanced products that continuously improve with user feedback,” shares Marc Van Den Broucque, Managing Partner, Spatial Composite.
A crucial measure of Spatial's success is the assembly of an expert team, the growth of repeat customers, and resilience through the uncertainties of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Spatial's future is marked with plans for significant expansion, starting with a move to a larger facility that RAKEZ assisted in identifying. The company aims to extend its Asia-Pacific operations, aligning with its strong position in North America and the Middle East. They also plan to deliver training devices for the latest aircraft, including their first A220 and Embraer E2 trainers within the next year.
For future entrepreneurs, the Spatial management team emphasises learning from failures, efficient cash flow management, building a strong team, and celebrating victories along the journey. They acknowledge RAKEZ’s role in supporting their unique business model, providing a user-friendly interface for HR administration, and facilitating a smooth transition to a new facility. This business relationship is a crucial part of their journey, paving the way for further growth and success.
