His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), has registered his name as the first volunteer from the RAKEZ to join the UAE Volunteer Platform, which was jointly launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
On his part, Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of RAKEZ, Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) and RAK Investment Authority (RAKIA), also motivated all employees to take part in the UAE Volunteers Platform. “The initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan rightly comes in this holy month of Ramadan, which is a month of good deeds and also coincides with many of our own RAKEZ charitable initiatives,” he stated.
Jallad pointed out that “RAKEZ is a frequent participant in various charitable events in Ras Al Khaimah and other places throughout the year, such as the Terry Fox Annual Run, blood donation campaigns, active participation in the ‘For Your Sake Somalia’ campaign, as well as corporate and individual donations to various UAE charity associations.”
“It gives us great honour as RAKEZ senior management to be among the first in our organisation to sign up with the UAE Volunteers, and be an effective part of humanitarian work in the UAE,” Jallad concluded.
