Flexitallic Group has a storied history spanning over 110 years, characterised by innovation in static sealing solutions, including gaskets, sealing products, and flange management solutions. Headquartered in Houston, the company operates manufacturing facilities across the globe, including the USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, China, Thailand, Australia, and the UAE. With a robust R&D and application engineering team, Flexitallic caters to diverse industries such as oil and gas production, refining, petrochemical, chemical, fertiliser, power (including nuclear), alternate energy (hydrogen), metal and mining, and marine.

In 2013, Flexitallic acquired a sealing company in the UK that had a sales office in Ras Al Khaimah, subsequently investing in approximately 10,000 m² of land. This investment led to the construction of one of the largest and most modernised gasket manufacturing plants in the Middle East. This facility in the UAE has enabled Flexitallic to meet local demand promptly while upholding the highest product quality and outstanding customer service.

Starting up in late 2014, Flexitallic faced initial challenges as the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah was undergoing infrastructural developments, which affected service availability for plant maintenance and transport. Despite these hurdles, the company’s perseverance paid off. With significant growth and investments in Ras Al Khaimah, initial hiccups were streamlined. The supportive RAKEZ team played a key role in addressing and resolving concerns, facilitating smoother operations and contributing to the company’s growth.

Health and safety, quality, and on-time delivery are the fundamental pillars of Flexitallic’s success. The Ras Al Khaimah factory has achieved a remarkable safety record, running over 2,000 days without any recordable injuries. This achievement is a testament to the company’s rigorous safety protocols, including comprehensive inductions, mandatory personal protective equipment, risk assessments for new machinery, and regular safety briefings.

Flexitallic’s commitment to innovation and sustainability is demonstrated through its global R&D centres in the USA and UK. The company continually listens to the “voice of the customer”, addressing challenges and developing new solutions through its R&D team. Noteworthy achievements at Flexitallic RAK include becoming the sole gasket manufacturer and supplier in the Middle East to a nuclear plant, the first ISO Class-7 Clean Room to produce oxygen-cleaned gaskets, and the first Flange Isolation Gasket manufacturer (with API 6FB and exceed MESC SPE 85/300-2017 Fugitive Emission Class A and NACE compliance) in the Middle East.

Looking ahead, Flexitallic aims to make its Ras Al Khaimah plant the manufacturing hub for the Middle East, expanding its machinery and strengthening its presence in the GCC and neighbouring countries like Iraq, Jordan, Egypt and Pakistan. The company is also exploring solutions for alternative energy, such as hydrogen, collaborating closely with customers to develop innovative products.
